Dr. Althea just hit #2 on Ulta — its best in four weeks

On Ulta's skincare best-sellers this week, Dr. Althea sits at #2 — the highest any Korean brand has placed in the four weeks we have read Ulta directly. It is a strong week, not a climb: the same brand dipped to #6 seven days earlier.

K-beauty is a fixture on Ulta's shelves, but it rarely sits at the very top. This week it nearly does: on Ulta's skincare best-sellers, Dr. Althea is #2 — behind only Clarins' Double Serum, and ahead of every other Korean brand.

Dr. Althea is Ulta's #2 skincare best-seller this week

Fact. Among the K-beauty brands on Ulta's skincare best-sellers, Dr. Althea holds the highest position, #2. It is the best a Korean brand has placed in the four weeks we have read Ulta from its own listing directly — a sequence of #5, #5, #6, then #2.

A high, not a climb

Observation. That line is not a steady ascent — it slipped to #6 the week before jumping to #2. Inference. So the honest phrasing is "its best week in the window," not "climbing." One strong week on a browse-ranked shelf is a spike until a second week confirms it, and Ulta has only cleared three consecutive weeks in our records so far.

The shelf around it

Ulta carried 20 K-beauty products in its skincare top 100 this week, with PEACH & LILY at #4 the next Korean brand after Dr. Althea. That count of 20 has wobbled by a row or two from week to week — but those small moves come from our brand ledger growing as we recognise more Korean labels, not from the shelf thinning, so we do not read them as a trend up or down.

One caveat on the cream

The same cream line — Dr. Althea's 345 Relief Cream — also sits inside Olive Young Global's worldwide top three this week. But that is a 50ml gift set, not the single SKU Ulta ranks, so it is the same line doing well in two places, not the same product. We keep Ulta's story at the brand level: what we can say cleanly is that Dr. Althea, the brand, reached #2.

Receipt: every number above is checkable against the 2026-W38 archive · method on /methodology. Ulta is read from Ulta's own product listing as text (a direct feed since 2026-W35), not screenshot OCR. Ranks are Ulta's skincare best-seller positions; each brand is shown at its best rank, and we make brand-level claims only — Ulta's week-to-week product identity is not stable enough for product-level moves. The four-week window (#5, #5, #6, #2) covers W35–W38, the weeks of direct reads. The 20-of-100 K-beauty count can shift by a row or two purely from brand-ledger growth (the K-beauty brand set moved between roughly 435 and 446 over these weeks), so small changes are not read as a trend. Chart position, not sales.
