Eight of K-beauty's most widely stocked brands still aren't in Sephora or Ulta.

We track 248 K-beauty brands across our live retail channels. Fourteen of them reach five channels or more — the proven, widely stocked tier. Eight of those fourteen appear on neither Sephora nor Ulta. The brands buyers on specialty and mass channels already found, US prestige still hasn't.

Not Here Yet is not the brand no one carries. It is the brand everyone except the store you are watching carries. This week our archive points at a specific pocket of it: the K-beauty brands that have already proven themselves across specialty and mass channels, and still have not been picked up by the two US prestige retailers.

Of the 248 brands on our charts, 14 reach five channels or more — the widely stocked tier, the brands a shopper runs into again and again. Eight of those fourteen appear on neither Sephora nor Ulta.

The list is not obscure

The eight are ROUND LAB (10 channels), SKIN1004 and COSRX (9 each), Beauty of Joseon (8), Purito and Haruharu Wonder (6 each), and numbuzin and mixsoon (5). These are not brands waiting for a first retail stamp. COSRX and Beauty of Joseon are among the best-known K-beauty names in America — widely stocked, widely recommended — and on our prestige charts this week, absent.

Prestige is a narrower door than reach

Only 24 of our 248 brands appear on Sephora or Ulta at all. Prestige is not a volume game; it is a curation game, and curation lags proof. A brand can saturate iHerb, YesStyle, Stylevana and Olive Young Korea and still be reading the room at Sephora. That lag is exactly what a Not Here Yet read is built to see: distribution that has outrun the prestige shelf.

Why this is a signal, not a verdict

We are not saying these brands should be in Sephora, or that they are trying to be. Some may have chosen specialty and mass positioning on purpose, and prestige charts turn over week to week. What we can say precisely is measurable: eight brands with proven multi-channel reach do not appear in our weekly prestige samples this week. If any of them turns up on a Sephora or Ulta chart in a coming week, our Just Landed series will catch the stamp — and this is the pool it will most likely come from.

Receipt: every number above is checkable against the 2026-W30 archive · method on /methodology. "Channel reached" means the brand appears in our weekly top-ranking sample for that channel, not that it is absent from a retailer's full catalogue. Sample depth differs by channel (top 20 to top 195), so channel count is a reach signal, not comparable shelf size. Absence from Sephora/Ulta means absence from those two best-seller charts this week, not from the stores entirely.
