One K-beauty brand is on almost every shelf we track
Of the 376 brands that show up on our charts, one appears on more retail channels than any other this week: Anua, on 14 of the 19 we read live. Reach is a different game from rank — and the brand that is everywhere is not the brand that ranks highest.
The usual way to say a brand is "winning" is to point at a #1. But there is a quieter kind of win that a single chart position never shows: being everywhere. This week one K-beauty brand appears on more of the retail channels we track than any other — Anua, on 14 of 19.
Anua is the widest-reaching brand on our charts
Fact. Of the 376 brands that surface on the best-seller lists we read, Anua appears on 14 of 19 live channels — from marketplaces to the K-beauty specialist malls. The next-widest are BIODANCE (12) and Dr. Althea (11); after that, reach drops quickly, and most brands appear on only one or two.
Reach is not the same as rank
Observation. Breadth and height come apart. Dr. Althea reaches fewer channels than Anua (11 vs 14) yet holds a better average best-rank — where it appears, it tends to place higher. Anua's story is the opposite: not the top of any one list so much as a presence on almost all of them. Inference. These are two different achievements, and a brand can be strong at one without the other. "Most stocked" and "highest ranked" answer different questions, and a headline that quotes only a #1 misses the brands that win on distribution instead.
Why breadth is its own moat
A brand on one channel lives or dies by that channel's algorithm. A brand on 14 is insulated — a slump on Amazon is cushioned by a specialist mall, a quiet week on one storefront is offset by another. Reach doesn't guarantee sales, but it does buy a brand the thing a single hot SKU can't: the chance to be found wherever the shopper already is. That is the position Anua holds on our charts this week.
